
Your pro level adventure begins with the PADI Divemaster program. By working closely with your PADI Instructor, you will develop your diving knowledge and skills at a professional level in this program. Training as a PADI Divemaster develops your leadership skills, qualifying you to supervise diving activities and assist instructors with their student divers.
During the PADI Divemaster program, you learn leadership skills both during classroom lessons and through independent study. You complete water skills and endurance tests, as well as training exercises that fine-tune your organizational and problem-solving skills. From this knowledge you will move on to practice through an internship or a series of hands-on training exercises.
Prerequisites: Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification) and 20 registered dives and recognized courses in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and basic first aid (secondary care) in the previous 24 months
Minimum age: 18 years
Course content: knowledge development, endurance tests, rescue techniques, confined water exercises, practical application (professionalism, map making, programs conducted by the Divemaster), leadership and internship assessment or practical exercises
At the time of certification: 60 logged dives, proving the experience in deep, night and underwater navigation dives
