Description
With so many underwater cameras to choose from, underwater photography is one of the most popular underwater specialties, and it's becoming easier and easier to capture images of your underwater adventures. Whether you use a point-and-shoot camera or a sophisticated dSLR like the pros, the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course gets you going fast.
If you are at least 10 years old and are a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver, you can enroll in the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer specialty course.
Since underwater photography is also very popular with snorkelers, both snorkelers and skin divers have the opportunity to complete the course. If this interests you, please contact your PADI Dive Center / Resort

Academic
During two dives, thanks to hands-on training and guidance from your PADI professional, you will discover:
How to choose the right camera system for you.
The PADI SEA method (Shoot, Examine, Adapt) to be able to quickly take beautiful photographs.
The principles of good underwater image composition.
Practical techniques for taking beautiful photos with your digital camera.
Get credit! The second dive of this PADI Specialty Diver course can be credited as an Adventure Dive for your Advanced Open Water Diver certification - ask your instructor how to get credit.

Equipment
In addition to using your basic equipment, you will need a digital camera and, to download and view your photos, a computer. Depending on your camera system, your PADI Professional may recommend other equipment and accessories. To get advice on everything you need for your underwater photography adventures, visit your dive center.

To begin
To get started right away, sign up for Digital Underwater Photographer Online - and get started in eLearning.
